ADSL, or Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, is a technology that allows connections at high speeds over
existing copper lines. This allows connections to the Internet at speeds that are almost 10 times faster
than existing modems, and also allow 24x7 connectivity for a low fixed price. ADSL circuits are supplied
by Telkom (just like existing telephone, Diginet and ISDN lines), and an ISP provides the connection to
the Internet.
