WHAT IS TAIBO KICKFIT®?
TaiBo KickFit® is my concept of a Japanese word literally meaning ‘the way of the body’, and, it describes exactly what I am searching for – ‘the way of MY body and mind’. Keeping healthy should be a way of life and not a passing excitement. Our TaiBo KickFit® classes have been running for well over 9 years, and, it has proved to be a major success for people from all walks of life and fitness levels. To our knowledge, we are the first to start up this concept of Martial Art/fitness training in Southern Africa, however, many other have since started up as well. It is amazing to hear of people who now run 'TaiBo' classes stating that they have "Martial Art experience???". Well, I guess any short stint of training can constitute "experience!!" To be a quality and sustainable teacher/facilitator, it is important to firstly have a solid grounding in the Martial Arts with an aerobic/keep fit background, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND! Aerobic/fitness instructors are NOT Martial Artist instructors in tights! However, the general public are unaware of this and are still flocking in droves to those that have studied the relevant video tapes and have now become ' instructors' in the field?? Remember it is not important to have a wonderful facility for the training to be of a good quality. In Okinawa and Japan most of the great teachers do not have big health clubs but offer classes from their home - unbelievable and world-class instruction!

R30 per session payable when you sign-in at the door BEFORE the class or monthly pre-paid at R20 per session............
WHO IS THE TAIBO KICKFIT® INSTRUCTOR??
The instructor is Buddy Govender. Buddy has been training in the Martial Arts for over 36 years and has trained and graded to 6th dan Black Belt in Okinawa Japan. Buddy was also a professional footballer with Berea FC in the Federation Professional League and Amazulu FC in the South African National 1st division for 10 years and has extensive experience in the field of health, keep-fit and self-defence. He continuously researches modern methods to ensure he maintains and passes on a high level of health and fitness to his students.
WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED IN TAIBO KICKFIT® ??
One constantly sees television adverts offering ‘amazing’ fitness gadgets. Some of these are good but most of them are good for nothing, WITHOUT your input! You do not need these gizmos to gain health and fitness. You can get fit just by walking everyday, or by running, or by swimming consistently. Health and fitness needs YOUR commitment to YOURSELF! – the treadmills and indoor pools are merely by-products. TaiBo KickFit® does not rely on any special equipment to help you achieve your fitness and health. All it requires is YOUR enthusiasm, commitment and consistent participation.
IS TAIBO KICKFIT® HARD WORK??
Yes, it is hard work but the rewards are worth this effort. It is reported that TaiBo KickFit® training "burns an incredible 800 calories a session" and therefore if you train consistently, weight loss and toning is almost guaranteed.

WHAT WILL TAIBO KICKFIT® DO FOR ME???
The martial art combinations and techniques in my TaiBo KickFit® classes strengthens and tones your abs, legs, chest, hips, arms – in fact your whole body! The will to continue punching and kicking even when you are tired will also improve your stamina and mental-potential. You will also acquire valuable self-defence skills and improved co-ordination, strength and cardiovascular fitness – what else do you need!
WHAT ARE OUR TAIBO KICKFIT® CLASSES LIKE??
The class begins with a full-body warm-up that progresses into a form of shadow karate/boxing involving kicks, punches, strikes, blocks, body evasions and a whole lot of fun – all done to great, pumping music! We work on easy to learn techniques that will certainly improve your self-defence skills, overall body condition and confidence!! Our classes are devised to improve anybody that has the aspiration to improve their health and fitness, as well as to develop self-defence techniques. The classes are extremely enthusiastic and a great time is held by all. We have received some great feed-back and even those that have never trained in their lives have indicated that they have never felt so good before! We work extremely hard to keep the music fresh, motivating and relevant to the combinations.
